41. Scar Night by Alan Campbell – I had heard bad things about this book, but I quite liked it. Very imaginative and I look forward to the next installment.
42. A Full Dark House by Christopher Fowler – I had high hopes for this book, which I picked up in a library book sale. Set in The Blitz and investigating peculiar crimes.!Turns out the peculiar crimes were just normal crimes and the lead characters were a bit dull. Oh well.
43. The Thief by Megan Whelan Turner – Didn’t know this was YA when I put it on my wishlist. It wasn’t bad, but it was very YA in tone, which I can’t blame it for! I don’t wish I’d never read it, but it was average, really.
Well, the 2009 crop of books has been harvested and it’s been a bumper crop! 🙂 I’ll not touch this amount of books in a year again very soon. I’ve got a few books that weigh in at over 900 pages. That’ll slow me down.
